Instagram Diary | November

So today guys and gals I'm going to be starting something new on my blog. I've seen Instagram diaries circling the blogosphere and I've decided to jump on the band wagon. These might not be a monthly thing but you'll most definitely see them from time to time. If you want to follow me on Instagram my handle's @chloe_marie.x. Without further ado let's get on with it.

| but baby it's cold outside |

i've it heard it said, that people come into our lives for a reason

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow. Between the crosses row on row. That mark our place; and in the sky. The larks, still bravely singing, fly. Scarce heard amid the guns below.  To the men, women and children who gave their lives for mine I thank you for your courage and bravery. Lest we forget.

Style Icon | Blake Lively

Blake Lively. Also known as perfection. Yes that is right ladies and gentlemen, the style icon blog posts are back and they're back with a BANG. Today I've decided to talk all about Blake Lively's style, how it inspires me and makes me completely jealous of her. Let's get into this and all be envious of her together, shall we?

Black on black on black. This outfit was pulled right out the wardrobe labelled under 'Sexy & Sophisticated.' From the hat to the dress to the shoes everything is just perfection, thrown together in that oh I'm in a rush sort of way. Now sadly I do have to say that I don't own a single piece of clothing like this but if I have anything to do with it I'm going to find some similar clothing to this because isn't this out just to die for?

I need this outfit now. Class. Sophistication. Style. I really love how the brown pleated skater skirt and casual white shirt cinches the waist in and thrown together with the basic white tee really draws attention to the skirt which I love. The sandles thrown in with the outfit really make it look put together.

I want this coat. Just look at it. It's perfect! I really love the powder blue colour and the black collar, the colours really juxtaposes each other but the also work so well together. It also looks very warm and cosy which is what I'm always looking for in a good coat, I mean who isn't? I also really love the shoes that have been paired with the coat making everything tie together nicely. Don't you think?

From dressy to casual, Lively can do it all! I really love the whole rocker chick meets boho on this look. The mix of denims work perfectly. The slouchy grey tee makes the whole outfit look quickly thrown together. Also, the boots add just enough edginess to the look and throw in the brightly coloured, patterned bag brings enough colour and excitement to the outfit. Oh how I lust over the thought of making an outfit this wonderful.

I want this dress. Simple as. I love the way that there's an overlay really hinting at Lively's waist which is just as perfect as the rest of her body. Also, the use of the overlay adds length to the dress seeing as I don't think that I'd want the dress as much if it didn't have it. I love the cream-white colour covered in the goldish embroidery making the dress feel and look a lot more elegant.

Now obviously it's easy to throw on a black ensemble but what I love about this outfit that Lively's worn is the jacket. I really love the pattern on it which is made up of beautiful autumnal colours mixed in with the texture of it. It reminds me of the old style rugs, don't ask me why it just does. Even though it probably sounds really weird that's probably what I love most about it, it makes me reminisce on my Nan's old rug she had in her hallway.

Tea Talk #7 | For Our Tomorrow

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month everyone stands still and remembers the brave souls of men, women and children who tragically lost their lives so we could live the lives we live today. Today on tea talk I thought I'd express my gratitude towards the men, women and children who fought for my tomorrow.

Over the past two weeks I've tried to think about what it must have been like to hear that Britain was at war with Germany and do you know what? I can't, I can't seem to wrap my head around what it must of been like to hear those words, to know that your father, brother, lover or son was going to have to leave you to fight for King and country. I think that the men who went away to fight and know that their lives could end in the blink of an eye were more brave and more courageous than I will ever be.

I think remembering what happened all those years ago is one of the most important things we can do as human beings. Even though Britain won the war there was a lot of sacrifice and not just physical but emotional; men came back with PTSD from the ordeals they had to watch, people cried over lost family and some parents never saw their children again. In one way or another we all know someone who fought in not only WWI but any war and remembering them whether dead or alive because what they've done for not only me or you but for everyone is so important to how we all live our lives.

If I was able to meet a WWI soldier or any soldier who gave their life for me I'd want to thank them for what they did and apologise because they shouldn't of had to give their yesterday for my tomorrow.

Lest we forget.

Revision | The Tips & Tricks

So it's that time of year for the Year 11's in the UK, the word that we dread; mocks. Now if you're prepared you've been revising for weeks maybe even months, I'm not afraid to say it I'm one of those people. However, if you're now finding it difficult to revise or you're one of those people who likes to do that thing called last minute revision this blog post is for you. Today I've decided to write a blog post all about the tips and tricks I've got for when it comes to revising. I'm not going to explain these tips because they're quite easy to understand so let's get on with it so I don't eat up any of your precious revision time.

Remember; don't panic, don't worry and just breathe. If you're mocks don't go the way you want you've got a few months until your actual GCSE's to sort it out. They're other people in the same boat as you so you're not the only one doing your mocks. Also, let's all help each other out, if you have any revision tips leave them in the comments below!

Good luck my lovelies!

Guess Who's Back?!

Is anyone out there? Yes? No? Possibly? This isn't going to be a very long blog post, I'm warning you now. If you're reading this I want to both thank you and apologise. Let's start off with the thank you, shall we?

Thank you for sticking round, in the few months that I've been gone I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of you have found new blogs to read but to those who have eagerly anticipated when you would next see what my fingers have spilled over the keys of my laptop. It means a lot to me that you've stayed and waited and waited and waited, I'm guessing you've got the picture?

Next I want to apologise. I want to apologise for leaving you all for so long. Even though you might not want one or don't think I need to explain I'm going to tell you why I've been gone for so long. It all started sixth months ago with a very unfortunate dance accident. See I love a good musical and I thought I was Billy Elliot, I'm not a professional ballet dancer and I fell over on my ankle. After endless x-rays, doctors appointments, physio appointments etc. I was finally sent to the orthopaedic doctor and I've been diagnosed with ligament damaged. It's being sorted so it'll all be sorted soon fingers crossed. It sounds all well and good but that's not was going on behind the scenes.

I got talked about a lot over this sixth month period both in front of my face and behind my back. Eventually it got a lot for me to handle and I couldn't do it any more, I fell into a rut and I couldn't get out. I became so uninspired about everything, I didn't want to go anywhere I didn't have to go or talk to anyone I didn't have to talk to or do anything I didn't have to. I didn't want to blog so I didn't. I couldn't act happy when I wasn't.

I'm okay now, I promise. I'm getting back to where I was and I'm finally becoming inspired again to blog. So again I'm sorry and thank you for sticking by me, some of you guys are my best friends and I wouldn't change this path my blogging journey is taking me on for the world.

Love you all.
